What determines a pet's value
- Pet affinity — higher affinity means better expedition results and enhancement.
- Pet type — different pets (including dragon eggs like the Ice Dragon Egg) have different strengths.
- How rare it is — rarer pets (Wheel of Luck drops, Season Store exclusives) are harder to max out, which usually makes them the stronger long-term picks.

- Top pick: Divine Dragonet — the rarest of the three, from the Wheel of Luck.
- Strong seasonal pick: Icy Dragonet — the Season 1 store's headline pet, worth its vouchers.
- Best if you pay: Phoenix Kitsune — guaranteed from its pack, no luck or grind involved.
Pet eggs
Pets come from eggs. The Ice Dragon Egg is given to you by Cinder (beside the Forge) and hatches at Ali's pet stall. Other eggs drop from expeditions and events, and can hatch into any pet at random.
